It is the latest news of postal department that India Post Office Department started to provide advance Payment Facility to their customers for booking foreign parcels and registered articles.

Now, cash payment is not compulsory to book international parcels and registered letter at BNPL post office and BPC post office only.

Advance Payment Facility for Foreign Parcels or Registered Letters

As per postal department letter no. CF-71/7/2021-DOP dated 7th March 2023, the post office department started to provide an advance Payment Facility to their customers for booking international parcels and registered articles.

To avail this facility you have to enter into an agreement with the postal department. Those customers who will provide monthly business of  50,000/- on monthly basis, can avail this advance payment facility by signing an agreement.

Post Office where you registered to post foreign parcels, will issue a monthly bill on date 7th of each month.

You can also request to book your foreign parcel at multiple locations. If you follow department rules and regulations, the competent authority may allow booking of your international parcels at multiple locations.
