Post Office e Passbook Service (POSB Seva IPPB Online)

First of all, you must have knowledge that what is post Office ePassbook service of India Post.

The e-Passbook service of Post Offices is a new service launched by the Department of Post for POSB customers for balance inquiries and mini statements of their all post office accounts.

It means, now post office customer who has a post office savings bank account, PPF account, Sukanya account, RD account, etc, can easily check their respective post office account balance through the India Post Office e-Passbook Seva.

It is an online process. You have to visit ePassbook Portal and follow the below procedure to check your POSB account balance and mini statements.

This service is also known as Post Office Service- POSB Seva- View account balance and passbook functionality for POSB accounts.

The online portal of ePassbook portal is https://posbseva.ippbonline.com/indiapost/signin.

The following facilities are available at the DOP ePassbook Service portal.
  • Balance Enquiry
  • Mini Statement
Mini Statement is only available for Post Office Savings Bank account (POSB), Public Provident Fund (PPF) account, and Sukanya Samriddhi Account (SSA). It may be available in the future for other post office savings schemes.

The full statement is available for POSB accounts only.
 
Mini statements and full statements can also be downloaded on your mobile number or laptop.

How to check post Office Account balance through Post office ePassbook service?

If you want to use ePassbook service of the Department of Posts, then you have to follow the below step-by-step procedure to check post office account balance and mini statement.

  • First of all, you have to visit ePassbook service online portal from here. The below screen will appear.
  • Enter your registered mobile number and fill captcha (mobile number registered in Post office account) 
  • Click on the login button.
  • An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
  • Enter OTP and click on the Submit button.

  • A new window will appear as below image.

  • Click on the click here button. The below screen will appear.



  • Select your Scheme type as Post Office Savings Account (SB) and enter your POSB account number and registered mobile in respective columns. 
  • Enter the captcha and click on the continue button.
  • Again an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.


  • Enter the OTP and click on the Verify button.
  • A new window will appear containing the Balance enquiry and Mini statement options as below screen.


  •  Choose an option as required.
  • If you want to check the balance of your post office savings bank account then click on the Balance Enquiry option. 
  • POSB Account Balance will appear on the screen.

  • If you want to check the mini statement for your SB account then click on the Mini Statement option.
  • The last 10 transitions will appear on the screen.
  •  Click on the download button to download Mini Statement.
