As we know an inspector of post offices (IPO) is a non-gazetted post working in the department of post. If you want to become an IPO in the India Post then you have to fight SSC CGL examination. But if you are already working in the post office as PA or SA cadre, you can also promote to the Inspector post via LDCE departmental exam for IPO cadre. Just fill the application form of IPO exam and pass or qualify this exam, you will become an IPO in post offices.

IPO exam pattern and IPO exam syllabus 2023

Recently, a revised IPO exam 2023 syllabus has been issued by the Postal Directorate for IPO exam 2023. This is the latest IPO exam syllabus for the departmental exam to promote in the Inspector post.

IPO exam pattern 2023

IPO exam shall consist of four papers i.e. Paper I, II, III & IV. 
01. Paper I (300 marks)
02. Paper II (300 marks)
03. Paper III (300 marks)
04. Paper IV (300 marks)

Paper I, II and III have 150 questions of MCQ type.

Paper IV has 125 questions of MCQ type and 50 questions of Noting & Drafting.

Each IPO exam shall be 3 hours. You have to answer all questions for this duration only.
