It is good news for all GDS employees that a new Gramin Dak Sevak financial upgradation (GDSFU) scheme has been launched by the Government of India Department of Posts.
Now Gramin Dak Sevak will get three financial upgradations on completion of 12 years, 24 years, and 36 years of service.

Gramin Dak Sevak Financial Upgradation Scheme 2024
As per this newly introduced GDSFC scheme, Gramin Dak Sevaks will get a fixed addition of Rs. 360/-, Rs. 460/- and Rs. 600/- per month on completion of 12 years, 24 years, and 36 years of service regularly.
Dearness Allowance (DA) will not be paid on this fixed addition and this will also not count for grant of annual increase of the TRCA (Time Related Continuity Allowance).
First Financial Upgradation
On completion of 12 years of engagement of GDS working in TRCA Slab-1 will also get 360/- rupees as a fixed addition.
The monthly salary of GDS employees (Slab-1) is as under-
- TRCA-13,880 (After 12 years)
- DA@50%- 6940
- Fixed Addition as per First Financial Upgradation- 360/-
- Other Allowances - As applicable
Second Financial Upgradation
The monthly salary of GDS employees is as under-
- TRCA-23,860 (After 24 years)
- DA@50%- 11930
- Fixed Addition as per First Financial Upgradation- 820/-
- Other Allowances - As applicable
Third Financial Upgradation
The monthly salary of GDS employees is as under-
- TRCA-34440 (After 36 years)
- DA@50%- 17220
- Fixed Addition as per First Financial Upgradation- 1420/-
- Other Allowances - As applicable
