Recently, an SB order had been issued regarding the introduction of new common or modified account opening form for the NSC scheme. It was called SB Order 17/2020.

Now the Postal Directorate has also been issued an amendment order in the regard.

What is the amendment in SB order 17/2020 

To facilitate POSB account holder to avail DBT benefits in their post office savings account, it has decided that Aadhar seeding is compulsory along with account opening/purchase of a certificate of NSC scheme in CBS and non-CBS post offices.

An additional Aadhar seeding form is also introduced with a common or modified account opening form of the National Saving Scheme. You must provide your Aadhar detail in this form at the time of account opening for purchase NSC certificate under the NSC scheme.
