Insurance service and IRCTC service are now available at CSC post offices

Recently, the Postal Directorate has been issued a letter regarding the launching of the CSC registration portal for insurance service and IRCTC service in some identified post offices. A total of 150 post offices is identified for the insurance service and 216 post office is identified for the IRCTC service of the CSC portal login facility.

As we know the CSC portal is a government portal. It takes fees for registration to avail each service in CSC Seva Portal. But registration fee is refundable for users of the identified post office as per information received from the CSC team. if a post office user wants to register at the CSC portal for insurance service, he should pay Rs. 200/- for registration.

If a post office user wants to register at the CSC portal for IRCTC service, he should pay Rs. 10000/- from CSC wallet.

It will be refundable for identified post office users only. The amount will be deducted once from the wallet during the registration process. It will be refunded by CSC in the wallet within a week.

Now Rail ticket booking will be available in these post offices.

How to register insurance service at CSC portal by a postal employee

Here I am sharing the procedure to register at CSC online portal for the postal employee.
  • Open CSC Seva digital online portal from here
  • Login by using user id and password
  • Click on VLE INS registration and fill the user details in the form.
  • Users need to pay the registration fee of Rs. 200/- using the CSC wallet.
  • Upon successful registration, the user will access to online training modules provided in four languages.
  • Once the course is completed online, the user needs to appear for an online exam on the CSC Portal itself.
  • Certification and license form CSC SPV (VLE INS) is issued in the name of the user who has passed the exam.
  • After all the above steps are completed, the user will be ready to sell Non-Life Insurance and General Insurance products.

How to register and activate IRCTC service at CSC portal by DOP employee

Here I am sharing step by step procedure to register and activate IRCTS service for DOP employee.

01. Registration
  • Open CSC Seva Digital online portal from here
  • Login by using user id and password
  • Now VLE can get access to Digital Seva Portal where users can select the "Services" option and find IRCTC service through search option and click on registration.
  • Now a new window will appear where users found a link to the registration form.
  • Now VLE needs to proceed for the registration and fill all the required details and upload required details and pay registration charges of Rs. 1000/-
  • Document required- 01. Pan Card copy, 02. Valid Address Proof.
  • Fill the column of email id and mobile number. (Email id and mobile number should not be used earlier in the IRCTC database.)
  • Open the agent code created, users, check his agent code by clicking on the next link.

02. Activation
  • After registration, the CSC team will check all the details and documents provided by VLE at the time of registration and based on the correct information will create agent code.
  • Once the agent code created, VLE will get a welcome mail from IRCTC on their registered mail id which contains user id and password and URL for KYC.
  • User needs to click of URL for KYC
  • Once KYC has done, an OTP will receive to complete the KYC process.

It is good news for the public that now post offices also provide two services of CSC Digital Seva Portal. Name of the services are mentioned below.

  • 02. IRCTC service
You can book the railways tickets at these post office through IRCTC service.

You can also purchase different non-life insurance products at these post offices.

Both of the services will only available at identified post offices only.
