An order has been issued by Director Establishment Division of Postal Directorate regarding the latest update on travelling allowance rule in 7th CPC.

It is a covering order of the letter of the department of finance, ministry of finance regarding submission of boarding pass along with TA bill.

Generally, a government employee should submit a boarding pass along with the TA bill as a proof that the journey was actually performed by the official but there is no any clarification that if a central government employee is unable to submit the boarding pass as a proof for the journey then what is the alternate way to submit TA bill.

The latest update on travelling allowance rule in 7th CPC is described below.

If a government employee is unable to submit the boarding pass with the TA bill, he can submit a self-declaration certificate in lieu boarding pass along with ta bill. The performa needs to be countersigned by the controlling officer in case of officials below the undersecretary level.



These instructions will be applicable in respect of the journey on tour performed by employees of the central government.
