Step by Step to configure India Post webmail in PC

First of all, Microsoft Outlook Software should be installed on your computer with version 2007 and above.

Click on Start > Control Panel .

Click on the Mail icon to open your Outlook settings.

Click on Show profiles.

Click on Add. Enter a name in the Profile name field and then click on the OK button.

Click on Manual Setup or additional server types and then click on the Next button.

Click on Internet E-mail and then click on Next.

On the new window of Add New Account, fill the user details as per the below screen.

While configuring the account for any user Account Type should be POP3 type. Incoming mail server and outgoing mail server should be outlook.indiapost.gov.in.

After filling all information, click on More Settings … the button below window appears.

Click on the Advanced tab and configure as mentioned below.

Server Port Numbers: Incoming Server (POP3): 995, Outgoing Server (SMTP): 465

Click the option “This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)”
Use the following type of encrypted connection: AUTO.

If you want to leave a copy of the message on the server then select all the three options as under

Check on “Leave a copy of message on the server”

Check on “Remove from server after 14 days” and “Remove from server when deleted from ‘Deleted Items"

Click on the Outgoing Server tab and check the option “My outgoing server(SMTP) requires authentication and click OK.

Once the above options are set, the user would be back on the main screen as displayed below, click on Test Account Settings button and click Yes on the internet security warning the following warning window for SSL certificate will pop up. Please click “Yes”.

After that, the user’s account would be tested and the Test Account Settings window would appear, Click on Close.

Once the testing is complete the Test Account Settings window will appear. Then click on the Close button.

After that click on the Finish button to complete the creation of the account.

Once the account creation is complete, the Mail window would be open, click on OK.

Once the MS Outlook is open, it would be showing the emails for the user as displayed below.
